  Dubai Culture

As a member of the seven emirates in the UAE on the historical Persian Gulf, Dubai is a place whose culture has incorporated those of many varying races, such as the tradition of the desert Bedouin to the rich Oman influences of Africa. Its government strives to promote their culture through centers and institutions showcasing arts and crafts, music, dance, theater, and other aspects of culture.

Firstly with respect to theater and arts, the native culture of Dubai can primarily be seen through the heritage villages established by the government. These villages display the skills and craftsmanship of locals. Furthermore, the Community Theater of Dubai is planned to become a leading center for all types of cultural performances and shows within the city. Here, visitors can watch Turkish and Egyptian belly dancers, Lebanese pop singers, and Emirati stick dancers. Moving on, guests can also check out the Dubai International Arts Centre, where a wide array of handicraft classes for children and adults take place.

With regard to music and dance, the Arabic nightclubs found within the city are the primary places where guests will enjoy both traditional and modernly influenced Arabian music. Performances of Foreign and local musicians can also be watched at the Dubai International Congress Centre and the Crown Plaza Hotel. In addition to this, dance schools such as the Ballet Center, and Arabic nightclubs like Al-Diwan and Escoba are good sources of modern and traditional dancing.

As a final note, visitors who plan to have a holiday in this city should have time to experience at least a few of these tourist attractions to truly appreciate Dubai culture.
